Working Principle of Solar Power Generation
Solar energy is one of the renewable energy sources with the fastest application growth. It is one of the world’s best and largest natural resources. One application of solar energy is solar power generation. The application is from small to large scale generation.
Components of simple solar power generation are as follows:
- Solar module
- Inverter
- Safety devices
Electricity can be produced directly from solar energy by means of photovoltaic cells. Photovoltaic cells are base materials to form a solar module. The photovoltaic cell in the solar module converts photons of sunlight into direct-current (DC) electricity. This DC electricity is then converted by an inverter to alternating-current (AC) to meet your home’s electricity needs. Simple!
Solar Electricity is Green Energy
Solar electricity is called green energy since it is produced with less impact on the environment than other electricity generation. There are still many other advantages of solar electricity applications.
